About 25 years ago, Tom had left Calvary Chapel to join his bride-to-be (Hannah) at the Newport Vineyard (with Beloved Pastor John McClure) where they met Pastors Kevin & Theresa Dedmon. As much as they loved the Vineyard, they felt called to start a street ministry in Huntington Beach, California.
Due to the need of folks on the street, Tom would allow people to sleep on his couch if they needed a place to stay, as long as the recipient agreed to go to church with him on Sunday morning and Thursday evening. In one instance, Tom let a young man (a brother of a coworker) stay on his couch for a week. That young man went to two services, and then left his house, and that was the last Tom knew about him until 2015.
Unbeknownst to Tom, he had an encounter with God that week, and began on a journey that resulted in him committing his life to Christ.
Fast forward to 2015, this man, in response to Gods voice, drove all the way to Portland, Oregon to find Tom and bless him. Through an amazing set of circumstances he found Tom and Hannah at the church they were attending, waiting for them in the lobby and watching the door for them to come into the building.
Tom was completely and pleasantly surprised to see him. He then took Tom and Hannah to lunch and told them God wanted him to start his Ministry, and wrote him a check to rent a building. We are at the Wilsonville location as a result of that gift and encouragement. It has truly been an amazing journey!

To The One Who Believes In Me, It Is Just As The Scripture Has Said: Streams Of Living Water Will Flow From Within Him. He was speaking about the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were later to receive. For the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.
