The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor .Luke 4:8-19 ESV
We believe in the universal Christian doctrines.
The triune nature of one God, the trinity. (Deut 6:4-9, John 10:30, Matt. 12:32)
The virgin birth of Jesus, That HE lived a sinless life, and died on the cross for the sins of the world. (Is. 7:14, Matt. 1:23, 2 Cor. 5:21, 1Pet 2:22-24, 1 Peter 1:18-19, Luke 23, Matt. 47)
That He rose from the dead, returned to heaven, and will return one day for his church and to establish his kingdom on earth. (Mark 16, Luke 24, 1 Cor. 15:24)
We believe that it is God’s desire and perfect will that all men can be saved, that through love and grace the Holy Spirit moves upon the hearts of men to turn them towards the one true God. (2 Peter 3:9)
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit (Matt 28, Acts 1:4-8)
We believe all of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are in operation today, and are necessary for a believer to have and use to bring about maturity. (Mark 10:7-8)
We believe in the five-fold leadership that Jesus established for his church: apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher. (Ephesians 4)
We believe that when you receive the love and gift of Jesus as lord and savior, God changes your nature, so that you go from being a sinner, to being a saint. You were a sinner, but are now saved by grace, now you are a child of God, a member of HIS family and an ambassador of HIS kingdom and rule on this earth. (Eph. 2, Rom. 6: 6-7,18, 1Cor 6:16, 1Cor 5:17).
This doesn’t mean that you’ll never sin again, but that is no longer your identity.
